Setting the Capstone: Dharmasar Solution Coach Training

When building an arch, the last stone to be set in place is the capstone. The masons first lay the sides of the arch, if necessary supporting them with a temporary scaffolding. The very last stone to be set is the trapezoidal keystone at the very top. Once the capstone is in place, the arch can support enormous weight due to its tremendous compressive strength. Until then, though, it can’t even stand by itself.

Similarly, after more than two years of work, we have completed the basic arch bridging western culture with the teaching of the Buddha. We call it The Dharmasar Solution because it solves the problem of how to deliver the essence of Dharma—the unaltered meaning and complete benefits of the Buddha’s original teaching—in Western language.

We begin with the ontological educational methods of Matrix Learning, continue with the language and phenomenological methodology of Existentialism in our series Being in the World, and end with the meditational perfection of 100 Days to Enlightenment and Ultimate Wisdom. In between we fill in the gaps of missing information and try to make the whole thing as self-referentially consistent as possible.

The result is what you see on this site. You’re welcome.

The Dharmasar Solution represents the distilled essence of a lifetime—over 60 years spent searching for meaningful, practical answers to the greatest questions of life: ‘What are we?’ ‘What are we doing here?’ ‘Why is life so painful sometimes?’ And most of all, ‘What can we do make it better?’ I wanted to express the answers I found, so others can benefit from my life’s work.

The answers aren’t easy. You won’t be spoon-fed or coddled here. We expect you to be a well-behaved, self-motivated adult. But if you follow the directions, discipline yourself and work methodically through all the series from first to last, you will have something very useful and beneficial: a point of view that comes very close to the Buddha’s.

‘Buddha’ means intelligent, and Gotama Buddha was certainly one of the most intelligent human beings ever to exist. Understanding his teaching is certainly going to improve your intelligence. More than that, it is going to open up new possibilities of knowing, being, doing and having for you.

What you do with this knowledge is your business. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t warn you that if you misuse it to harm others, you will suffer greatly for a long time. On the other hand, if you apply it for your self-improvement and the happiness and well-being of others, you will benefit greatly for a long time.

This knowledge and the skills it imparts can be used for many things, but it is designed to ultimately lead us to enlightenment. In the meantime, it can be applied beneficially to many areas of life. Use your ingenuity and creativity to see what new applications you can find. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

So what is the capstone of the archway, the bridge of The Dharmasar Solution? That I am offering to train qualified teachers to coach others in this system, and issuing franchises to fully trained teachers that allow them to charge for their services. The teacher training is absolutely free of cost; you only have to come to Sri Lanka where I live, and pay your expenses during the training.

I will be visiting south India in March, meeting with many people and offering this opportunity to experienced yoga teachers and others. The first teacher training course will be held in Sri Lanka in April. Class size is limited. Interested persons please contact me to reserve a spot. I will also consider offering this training to groups anywhere, provided they will cover my expenses.
